Henderson, NV – The Vegas Knight Hawks achieved a 43-37 victory over the Northern Arizona Wranglers on Saturday night at Lee’s Family Forum. This marks their first home win of the season, improving their record to 3-2.
Tamorrion Terry was a key offensive player for the Knight Hawks, catching three touchdown passes for a total of 41 receiving yards. Quentin Randolph also contributed significantly with three receptions for a team-high 49 receiving yards and one touchdown. Randolph has now scored a touchdown in all five games played this season.
Quarterback Jayden De Laura started the game, throwing for 85 yards and two touchdowns on 7 completions. He was later replaced by Ja’Rome Johnson in the second quarter due to injury. Johnson completed 7 of 9 passes for 55 yards and two touchdowns.
Defensively, Adam Plant Jr. led the Knight Hawks with eight total tackles, including 1.5 sacks. Claude Davis recorded one sack. Darius Williams had a notable impact on special teams, blocking two field goal attempts. James Ceasar recovered the second blocked kick in the end zone for a touchdown.
The Knight Hawks trailed the Wranglers 16-13 late in the first half. However, a touchdown pass from De Laura to Terry and a subsequent safety allowed Vegas to take a 22-16 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, Williams blocked his second field goal attempt, with Ceasar recovering for a touchdown, extending the Knight Hawks’ lead to 29-16. Johnson then connected with Terry for two additional touchdown passes.
For the Northern Arizona Wranglers, quarterback Kaleb Lowe completed 15 of 26 passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Nolan Susel scored three rushing touchdowns for the Wranglers.
Despite the Wranglers’ efforts, the Knight Hawks secured the 43-37 win with a defensive stop on the final drive. The Wranglers remain winless at 0-5.
